First Day of School

After the long weekend, Emma's first day with Mrs. Gann at preschool is today! She is all decked out in her new school clothes - her most favorite outfit - her gauchos! She is sporting her new free backpack from Build-A-Bear! How cute is that! I asked her to come outside with me this morning for a picture and she gave me this pose first thing! Be sure to scroll down as I've posted a couple of new things today!

Our Labor Day Weekend!

We had a great Labor Day weekend! We were home with nothing on the calendar, so it made for a lot of fun hangouts with friends and family! Follow along for a description of all of the pics! On Thursday we started with a haircut for Em. She's been asking for a couple of weeks to get her hair cut shorter. We went to Shear Madness, where they specialize in kids cuts, so she got to sit in a princess car and watch a movie. Then Jaeda got to come over that night and we had a good time being goofy in our brand new matching pj's! On Saturday morning, we drove to St. Joseph to watch our favorite intern and Bearcat, Sarah, play volleyball. Emma dressed for the occasion! She played twice and we skipped naps, so the ride home brought some sleepy kiddos! Then Monday morning, we visited the Edge gymnastics for their open gym. We bounced on all of the trampolines and played on all of the fun stuff. Em's pretty lucky to have Aunt Allison, a cheerleader, to show her all of her moves! It was a lot of fun and we're thinking about putting Emma in some lessons there, she loves it so much! After gymnastics, we headed to Winstead's where Emma was blown away by the Skyscraper Shake! It was such a good weekend! Thanks for looking!

Dairy Farm Tour

Last week, the Shoal Creek playgroup went on a tour of the Shatto Dairy Farm up north of Kansas City. We had a nice turnout and it was a beautiful day to spend at the farm. We got to taste root beer milk, orange milk, strawberry milk (Em's favorite) and banana milk (Gabe's favorite). Then we visited the bottling room, the milking room and the barn. There were 2 day old calfs that Emma got to feed and a nice cow named Ginger who let all of the little ones milk her. Emma was so excited to do that! The only thing she wasn't real fond of was the smell of the barn!
